Terms of Service

1. The service

Pathnio provides AI-powered tools to generate resumes, cover letters, statements of purpose (SOPs), and academic CVs. You use credits to generate documents (one credit = one document, regardless of type).

2. Your account

You must be 18 or older to use Pathnio. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity on your account. Notify us immediately at support@pathnio.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Tracks: Job and Admission

At signup, you choose one track: Job (Resume + Cover Letter) or Admission (Academic CV + SOP). This choice determines which tools are available to you. Switching tracks is supported on request — email support@pathnio.com and we will update your account.

4. Credits

Credits are purchased in packs (Starter, Pro, or Ultimate) and added to your account balance. Each document generation deducts one credit. Credits do not expire and can be used at any time while your account remains active.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Pathnio to create content that is illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, or infringes anyone's rights.
• Submit information you don't have the right to provide (for example, someone else's personal data without permission).
• Misrepresent your qualifications, identity, or achievements in documents generated through the service.
• Attempt to bypass the credit system, exploit bugs, reverse-engineer the API, or use automated tools to extract content.
• Share your account with others or resell access.

Violations may result in immediate account termination without refund.

6. AI-generated content disclaimer

Documents created by Pathnio are produced by artificial intelligence and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or content that does not perfectly reflect your situation. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying every document before using it in any application, submission, or professional context. Pathnio is a writing aid, not a guarantee of accuracy or job/admission outcomes.

7. Intellectual property

You retain full ownership of the personal information you provide and the documents you generate. Pathnio retains ownership of the platform, branding, code, templates, and underlying technology. You may use the documents you generate for any lawful personal or professional purpose.

8. Payments and refunds

Pricing is displayed on the pricing page in INR (via Razorpay) for Indian users and USD (via LemonSqueezy) for international users. Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy. All purchases are subject to the Refund Policy in effect at the time of purchase.

9. Service availability

We strive to keep Pathnio available 24/7 but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, third-party outages (OpenAI, Supabase, payment gateways), or unforeseen issues may cause temporary downtime. We are not liable for losses arising from service unavailability.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pathnio's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including but not limited to lost job opportunities, rejected admissions, lost income, or reputational harm.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time by emailing support@pathnio.com. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible. Unused credits in a terminated account are not refundable unless termination was solely due to our error.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from your use of Pathnio will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Delhi, India.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
